Motorola was releasing a new series of handheld radios (walkie-talkies) and wanted a bold, interactive sales enablement tool that would showcase the unique features of their latest line of TRBO handsets.

The experience needed to be highly explorable, intuitive and provide users with a shepherded journey, helping them determine which handsets were best suited for their unique needs.

Human problem solved

We designed, user-tested, and assisted with implementing an engaging, interactive touchscreen experience at the Motorola Innovation Lab. Users could quickly discover which handsets met their needs in major categories spanning safety, speed, and new innovations, all within a beautifully designed user interface crafted for large, show-floor touch screens.

Results

The MOTOTRBO™ demo app received highly positive feedback from Motorola and end-users for its immersive, realistic portrayal of the handsets’ capabilities. Motorola’s Innovation Lab visitors left with a clear understanding of the devices’ real-world value and safety features, making the app a powerful tool in the launch of the new TRBO line. The success of the demo has since influenced Motorola’s approach to future product feature demonstrations, establishing a high standard for interactive and immersive user experiences in safety-focused technology.
